Gerard Bertrand

A fresh and elegant rose from the King of the Languedoc Gerard Bertrand. A beautiful salmon colour achieved from soft pressing and free run juice resulting in pure, crisp fruit and minerality.

The nose is an expression of pure fruit character showing blackcurrant and wild strawberry, with a hint of spice. An elegant, smooth structure with soft tannins.

A very well made St Chinian of 50% Syrah and 50% Mouvedra with 8 months in oak. Delicious textured, soft, fragrant Languedoc Rouge.

Pale gold with green tints. The nose is complex and full of citrus and floral notes. White peach, exotic fruit and a hint of pineapple. The palate is robustly rich with zesty fruit and lively acidity which keeps your taste-buds tingling. The finish is long and well rounded.

This is one of the best Corbieres weve tasted. From an estate bought by Gerard Bertrands Father George in the 1970s, the wine is a blend of Syrah, Carignan, Grenache and Mouvedre. Hand picked and with 8 months in Barrique, it displays deep, rich fruit with soft spice and a long, elegant finish. A truly superb wine.

This Rivesaltes Vin Doux Naturel is a bottle aged 2002 vintage Grande Reserve. 100% Grenache Noir and with 25 years in bottle, it displays the development and tastes that you only find with extended bottle aging. Soft and smooth, this wine has a perfect balance between subtle notes of dried fruit, figs and prunes, with creamy, fresh, red fruit. Drinking superbly now, it is the perfect accompanyment to cheeses. A truly fantastic wine!

A rich, complex wine with an intense, layered and aromatic nose of jasmine, peach, citrus and pineapple, underpinned by cinnamon, honey, quince jam and freshly cut hay. A deeper complexity is then revealed with hints of vanilla, roasted flavours and cardamom.

Excellent value from Gerard Bertrand of the Western Languedoc. A blend of Grenache Gis and Grenache Noir. Perfect summer drinking.
