This is a soft, unoaked Chardonnay from a vineyard at the bottom of the Maconnais in the Southern part Burgundy.

Samantha Bailey has lived and worked in the Cote dOr for many years and has selected top quality parcels of fruit to produce this excellent value Bourgogne rouge.

Produced by the excellent Bernard Vallet in a very good vintage. This is the house rouge of Vallet Freres. Fresh, juicy berry fruit.

Meaning 'over the quarry', Dussus La Carriere is from two parcels of vines just under fives acres in total located over an abandoned limestone quarry on soils of pure Kimmeridgian clay-limestone.
